On November 15, 2024, PCCI Iloilo hosted a dinner and social gathering for the chefs of Chaozhou City, China, as part of an International Culinary Exchange facilitated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The event took place at Courtyard by Marriott.
PCCI Iloilo President Engr. Fulbert C. Woo, alongside DTI Iloilo Provincial Director Dinda Tamayo, PCCI Corporate Secretary Frank Limsui, Agri Sector Head Jonathan CaΓ±uto, and Executive Director Zyril De los Angeles, warmly welcomed the eight delegates from Chaozhou City.
Both Chaozhou and Iloilo City share the distinction of being recognized as UNESCO Creative Cities of Gastronomy, with Chaozhou earning the title last year. This cultural and culinary connection underscores the growing collaboration between the two cities in celebrating and promoting their rich gastronomic heritage.
