The Coconut Expo 2025 officially opened on August 26, 2025, at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Grounds and will run until August 29, 2025. The expo is part of Agrinnovate 2.0, a flagship program of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry- Iloilo Chapter, Inc. (PCCI Iloilo) for the development and promotion of agricultural innovation, in partnership with the Iloilo Provincial Government through its Agricultural Office, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Iloilo, and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo.
Present during the opening ceremony were PCCI Iloilo President Engr. Fulbert C. Woo, Agrinnovate Program Chair Mr. Jonathan Cañuto, Iloilo Provincial LEDIP Officer Ms. Aulynn Yue Sin, Iloilo Provincial Agriculture Office Head Dr. Ildefonso T. Toledo, Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Dennis Ventilacion, and PCCI Iloilo Director Renjo Debil.
The Coconut Expo serves as a venue to showcase coconut-based products, highlight innovations in the coconut industry, and create opportunities for farmers, MSMEs, and agri-entrepreneurs. It is also celebrated as part of the 1st Iloilo Provincial Coconut Week, which carries the theme: “Niyog: Puno ng Buhay, Isulong ng mga Kaagapay para sa Kaunlaran at Masaganang Pamumuhay.”
Launched in April 2025, the first Agrinnovate Summit focused on high-value crops, and this Coconut Expo continues that momentum by putting a spotlight on the coconut industry as a vital driver of inclusive growth, sustainable livelihoods, and agricultural competitiveness in Iloilo.
Through Agrinnovate 2.0 and its activities, PCCI Iloilo and its partners aim to empower farmers, expand opportunities, and position Iloilo as a hub for agricultural innovation and agripreneurship.
