ILOILO CITY – In a powerful show of support for youth-led innovation, Engr. Fulbert C. Woo, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Iloilo, delivered a keynote message during the Advertising Conference (ADCON) 2025, held May 10, 2025 at the UPV Auditorium, Iloilo City.

Organized annually by fourth-year BSBA Marketing students of the University of the Philippines Visayas, ADCON 2025 celebrated its Silver Anniversary with the theme “ReimADgine: The Reruns and Real-Time of Entertainment Marketing.” This year’s event explored how nostalgic narratives and immersive brand experiences shape modern consumer engagement.

Speaking before a full house of students, faculty, and marketing professionals, Engr. Woo underscored PCCI Iloilo’s commitment to nurturing youth entrepreneurship and innovation through programs that connect academia, industry, and government. Highlighting initiatives such as the INSYNC Program, which opens doors for student innovators to access mentorship and market linkages, Woo encouraged the youth to explore entrepreneurship not just as a career, but as a platform to create meaningful impact.

“Young people are not just the future of business—they are its now,” Woo declared. “At PCCI Iloilo, we believe in investing in platforms that enable the youth to build, scale, and sustain their ideas with confidence.”

As the conference tackled themes of nostalgia marketing and real-time consumer engagement, Woo emphasized the value of bridging creativity and commerce, particularly in a city like Iloilo where cultural heritage and innovation co-exist.

The presence of PCCI Iloilo at ADCON 2025 reflects a growing collaboration between the business sector and the academic community. As the city gains national and global attention for its rising startup ecosystem, the Chamber continues to be a driving force behind opportunities that empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.

ADCON 2025, led by the students of BA 178 (Seminar in Marketing Management) under the supervision of Mr. Oscar S. Jinon Jr., showcased insightful talks, workshops, and panel discussions on the evolving landscape of entertainment and marketing.
