In a pioneering effort to empower Iloilo’s senior citizens, 28 qualified participants embarked on an internship program aimed at skill development and personal growth. The program is a partnership between the Office of City Councilor Atty. Sedfrey L. Cabaluna, Iloilo City PESO, PCCI-Iloilo, and JCI Iloilo.

PCCI-Iloilo members shared valuable knowledge to enhance the seniors’ skills. The Local Travel Girl and Mr. Kevin Mari Francis Cruz highlighted the significance of social media in modern employment, teaching seniors how to leverage online platforms for job opportunities and personal growth. Additionally, Mr. Michael Natividad Jr. provided training on basic computer skills, helping the participants gain essential digital literacy.

Atty. Sedfrey L. Cabaluna emphasized that this program is not just about acquiring skills but also about fostering meaningful engagement and promoting the continued contribution of senior citizens to society. The initiative aims to bridge generational divides and encourage seniors to embrace the digital world, ensuring their ongoing involvement in today’s fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
This internship program marks an important step in providing opportunities for seniors to enhance their abilities, stay connected, and thrive in the modern world.
