PCCI Iloilo Joins FyrLab Panel to Empower the Next Wave of Startup Innovators

On May 6, 2025, PCCI Iloilo, represented by Vice President for External Affairs Jerduen “Noi” Dongor, proudly participated in the Panel Interview for the FyrLab Acceleration Program Cohort 3, held at Amarillo Restaurant, General Luna Street, Iloilo City. This key event brought together a distinguished panel of mentors and partners to evaluate startup applicants, ensuring that the most promising founders are selected for the next wave of innovation in Western Visayas.

In attendance were notable dignitaries, including DOST Region VI Regional Director Engr. Rowen GelongaIloilo PSTO Director Engr. Sheila L. Oberio, and representatives from the UMWAD Western Visayas Consortium. Their presence underscored the strong multi-institutional collaboration that drives the FyrLab program and its mission to accelerate regional innovation and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Dongor shared PCCI Iloilo’s commitment to supporting startups through mentorship, training, and access to business opportunities via the INSYNC (INnovative Startup Network and Collaboration) program. “Through partnerships like FyrLab and our own INSYNC program, we create meaningful pathways for startups to grow, scale, and contribute to the region’s economic development,” he noted.

The INSYNC program, a flagship initiative of PCCI Iloilo, offers comprehensive support to startups, from mentorship and training to facilitating business connections and market access. As a partner in the FyrLab Acceleration Program, PCCI Iloilo continues to champion the development of a vibrant startup ecosystem in the Visayas.

This event marks a significant milestone in the region’s efforts to empower founders and foster collaboration across sectors. The continued involvement of key stakeholders like DOST, PCCI Iloilo, and UMWAD Western Visayas ensures that innovation will remain at the forefront of regional growth and development.
