PCCI Iloilo, represented by Director Renjo Debil, joined key stakeholders at the Open Forum on the Future of the Aquaculture Industry in Panay held on May 9, 2025, at Diversion 21 Hotel. Organized by the Panay Inland Fishpond Operators Association, Inc., the event gathered aquaculture farmers, processors, traders, government representatives, and private sector leaders to discuss the region’s aquaculture outlook.

With the theme “Sustaining Growth, Securing Livelihoods: The Way Forward for Panay’s Aquaculture Industry,” the forum served as a platform to regroup local aquaculture players, assess the sector’s pressing challenges, and explore innovative and sustainable solutions for long-term viability. Discussions focused on the need for stronger collaboration, investment in technology, and the alignment of industry efforts with government support programs.

Director Renjo Debil highlighted PCCI Iloilo’s support for inclusive and sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of the aquaculture sector not only in food security but also in preserving rural livelihoods and driving economic activity in Panay.

Through this engagement, PCCI Iloilo reaffirms its commitment to strengthening partnerships across sectors and advocating for solutions that empower industries while promoting responsible environmental stewardship.
