Bayanihan — PCCI Iloilo continues to uphold its commitment to inclusive growth and social responsibility through PCCI Iloilo Cares, the chamber’s flagship outreach program funded by the annual Ilonggo Parol of Hope. On October 7, 2025, PCCI Iloilo joined the graduation of the first batch of learners under Project Layong in Canauillan Elementary School, Janiuay, where school bags were distributed to support students’ education journey. In partnership with JCI Iloilo and facilitated by Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias, this initiative reflects PCCI Iloilo’s mission to bring opportunities closer to communities and ensure that every child has a fair chance to learn.

PCCI Iloilo proudly celebrates Corporate Secretary and Head of the Business Innovation & Startups Sector Francis Gerona for receiving the Rainmaker Award at the Western Visayas Startup Awards 2025, held on September 20, 2025, at Festive Walk Mall, Iloilo City. The Rainmaker Award honors individuals who have significantly shaped the startup ecosystem through mentorship, advocacy, and innovation. Long before joining PCCI Iloilo, Francis was already championing startups as a member of the Global Shapers Community in 2015. Today, through initiatives like the chamber’s INSYNC Program, he continues to drive collaboration and growth in Western Visayas’ startup landscape.
Agrinnovate 2.0 Forum Champions Coconut Innovation and Sustainable Farming

The Agrinnovate 2.0 Forum, held on August 25, 2025 at Hotel del Rio, gathered over 100 farmers, cooperatives, MSMEs, and agriculture stakeholders to discuss opportunities in the coconut industry. Organized by PCCI Iloilo in partnership with the Iloilo Provincial Government, the forum featured plenary talks on CFIDP programs, fertilization, intercropping, and digital marketing. A key highlight was the Market Matching Session, connecting 10 coconut-based MSMEs with PCCI Iloilo member-buyers to explore business opportunities. Closing the forum, Mr. Jonathan Ed V. Cañuto emphasized the value of collaboration and innovation in empowering farmers and advancing agri-entrepreneurship in Iloilo.
Iloilo Tax Congress 2025 Equips Business Owners with Tax and Governance Insights

Around 120 business owners and members of PCCI Iloilo gathered at Hotel del Rio on August 22, 2025 for the Iloilo Tax Congress 2025, co-presented by Reyes Tacandong & Co. The 4th run of the program, chaired by Ms. May Joyce Galanto and held in partnership with ACPAPP Iloilo, Inc., featured free one-on-one consultations and learning sessions led by tax and governance experts. With discussions on tax basics, family business succession, and good corporate governance, the Congress continues to empower Iloilo’s business community with clarity, compliance, and confidence.

With the theme “Empowering Possibilities, Elevating Progress,” the event runs from July to August and features key initiatives such as the Western Visayas Business Conference, PCCI Iloilo Academy, AI Fest, Businesserye, and Agrinnovate 2.0. Formerly a one-week celebration, the initiative has expanded into a full two-month regional movement driven by growing public-private collaboration.
